VMC 7264CB Wide Gap Live Bait Pro Pack

I have been searching media for reviews of fishing gear for some yrs now. After buying some very expensive hooks of all kinds both japanese & US made & a few others I was looking for hooks strong enough for blue fin tuna & amberjack. Specifically a short shank wide gap bait hook with a black finish & a 3 or 4x shaft thickness below $ 3-7.00/ hk. These are it. I wanted close to an inch hook gap for making up my own twin assist hooks for the tail end of my knife jigs to be used at depth at night. Ive made same with spade hooks butfor big heavy stuff where I will splice 420 lb assist cord for each hook separately, these have the eye allowing that added insurance of a knot that cant slip around a shank. Bkk, owner st66 for trebles, & a new favorite SP jigging offer premium hooks (some rigged) all worth every penny but these I believe will work just as well at substantially less. Now ifvmv will make the exact same hook with the barb on the outside of it they will sell like hot cakes.
