The Executioner: Part II

An excellent release of a not-so-excellent film

Every now and then VS gives a helping of love to a film that when I watch it, I question why. Every film, no matter how bad or good, deserves a fresh transfer and even a 4K but this is a rough looking and edited film and an even rougher watch for its quality.

This movie is a wild ride , it’s amazing that the title suggests that it’s the second part but really it’s a standalone movie ! The execution of the film is really good the pace never lets up . 4K scan for this age / budget of film is surprisingly excellent, and the overall packaging is excellent as usual

Better than Part 1!

This is the sequel to a film which never existed. . . yes, really! On DVD, this came as a double feature with Frozen Scream rather than Hell Riders. I actually think of the two, Frozen Scream is the more entertaining film (although the word 'entertaining' is subjective). The new release of Executioner does look good, but in all honesty with a film like this it doesn't matter all that much. So if I had a choice, I'd opt for the DVD (and that's the one I've kept), but given that release is OOP, this will do nicely if you've not seen the main film. It's a bit of silly fun and is a good fit for the VSA range.
