3/8" White Oak - Thin Stock - Rift and Quarter Sawn

Beautiful, perfect 3/8 quartersawn oak

I am so pleased with the two small pieces of 3/8 quartersawn oak I ordered from Northcastle Hardwoods. It is not easy to purchase small amounts of specific width hardwood, so I am grateful to be able to purchase exactly what I needed to create new back slats for just one chair, and am delighted the two pieces I received are splendidly, beautifully perfect, and were well packages and arrived swiftly.

Someday I'll buy a thickness planer, but in the meantime I needed a bit of quartered white oak 4" wide by 3/8" thick and Northcastle had it. The material arrived nicely packed in foam wrapping and was straight - not cupped, bowed or other quirky characteristcs which can render it useless. Also, when I noticed that my PO box was missing and called to add it, they were nice enough to correct it and get it out that day even though it was just after hours and they had one foot out the dooor. I'll certainly shop there again.
