Lip Definer Trio: The Private Collection

Love these colors!

I was so excited to try these three colors. I have the lipstick in no 2 but I’m very light skinned, lighter than Victoria so the no 2 pencil is still a bit too dark for me. The 1. 5 works! I wish there was a no 1 that was a bit shiny so I could use it on my Cupid’s bow but all three work for me. It’s fun to contour with the lightest to darkest and just tap the no 2 lipstick over my drawings. The texture is smooth and it stays on for a while. I’m not very into matte or dark lipsticks so this type of pencil is perfect. It doesn’t leave a line around your lips after you eat or drink and I think if I actually used powder after lining and a primer or just concealer on my lips before lining these liners would last a long time. Please come out with a no 1 for us lightskinned people with light colored lips. It should be more pink than the 1. 5. And maybe one with a bit of gloss (not shimmer or glitter) just to highlight the cupids bow and under the center of the bottom lip! You could call that No 0! Otherwise I love all of VBs products. Even her foundation which started migrating all over my face was due to the air in my office. On the weekends her foundation stays put and is such a dream. The concealer too I use all the time. It blends and conceals perfectly. Thanks VB!!

Good lip liner, not the best shade for me

I got the trio set online to try the various 02 versions proposed, all fairly neutral colours as described, however 03 is a better shade for me, and unfortunately it is not in stock. So while I can make the trio somewhat work, color wise none is a perfect fit. Also I prefer lip pencils with a retractable tip, though the tip works well for a good precision finish which does not sink into the lip line. Eventually, perhaps I will consider getting the shade that fits me best once I go through this set.

My favourite lip liners!

Shade 2 is my favourite lip liner for most lip colours, and to have a trio that takes a half step up and down to add some brown or pink basically creates a shade that works for me regardless of what tone the neutral or pink lipstick I intend to use is! Highly recommend to everyone
