Outdoorperson’s Dream
I am outdoors in all seasons and I can tell this is going to be my go-to pack. It is sturdy, well-constructed, waterproof, holds a ton of stuff, is comfortable to wear and looks great! I especially love the built in whistle and the graphic on the back rest is an extra quality detail. Excited to take it on more adventures!

Storm-Season Tested
I don’t test packs gently. The Oregon Coast doesn’t allow it.
The Barron Backpack from Uncharted Supply is the one I reach for when the weather’s already turning sideways and I’m still going anyway. Storm season. King tides. River mouths. That in-between zone where land, water, and bad ideas overlap.
This pack feels right out here. Not flashy. Not precious. It gets dropped on wet sand, leaned against drift logs, scraped across basalt, opened with cold hands while the tide clock is ticking. It doesn’t flinch.
It’s a true dry bag pack — fully sealed, fully submersible. That’s not marketing talk; that’s peace of mind. You can dunk it, float it, lose your footing and not lose your gear. On the coast, that matters more than comfort features or clever pockets. Water is always waiting to take your stuff. The Barron doesn’t let it.
Structure is the quiet win. Even half loaded, it holds its shape. No collapsing mess, no blind digging. I know where things are without looking, which is exactly how it should be when rain’s blowing sideways and you’re trying to move with purpose.
It carries weight the way coastal packs need to. Wet layers, tools, cameras, finds — everything weighs more once it’s soaked. The Barron rides steady, doesn’t sway, doesn’t fight you when you’re scrambling or bushwhacking your way to a spot you probably shouldn’t be in the first place.
Bottom line: this is a trust pack. The one you grab when the forecast is questionable but the conditions feel right. The kind of bag that comes home dirty, salty, scratched, and still ready for the next window.
On the Oregon Coast, that’s the highest compliment I know how to give.
