SongBook MAX

Great product with BIG bass.

This is the 7th Tivoli product that I've owned over the past 25+ years (two PAL's, two original Songbooks, a Model 1 and an iYiYi). I love how this sounds, and I love the quality of the FM tuner. There are two things that I'd change: 1) The large tuning knob should be the volume knob, and the small volume knob should be the tuning knob. Since the presets largely eliminate the need for a tuning knob, you wind up with this big knob in the middle of the box that you never use. It sure would be fun to crank that up! And 2) Performance is enhanced significantly with better feet. I'm using Isoacoustics pucks, visible in the photo. The sound becomes cleaner, and the bass becomes tighter. Given the prodigious amount of bass that this thing is capable of, isolating it from whatever it's sitting on provides a significant upgrade. Thanks for another great product.

I had to wait to review as I intend to listen outdoors. Winter hit so into hibernation. 62° today in February so outside it came( if you listen indoors, be prepared to eq down the bass as it is impressive indoors)and WOW! I’m not expecting stereo separation outdoors, but what I do want is quality sound reproduction and this gives it. Functionally it’s intuitive, no learning curve. Aesthetically it’s handsome and simple. If I could ask for anything “extra”, it would be internet radio tuner. I am thoroughly impressed with all aspects of this purchase thru Tivolis website. Sorry I took a while to review.

nice sound

My only two complaints are the glossy finish will easily show wear and the thing is HEAVY! The handle has no padding, maybe a strap option? Sounds great. Easy to pair with phone.
