The mount is made well. I have a couple of suggestions. It would have been helpful if instructions were included. I think we figured it out, but it would have been good to know for sure if the leveling screws were used correctly. Also, there needs to be a locking screw added so the trolling motor can be locked from turning left or right so the kayak rudder can be used to steer.

Good quality design and construction. Unfortunately I ordered before I realized they only fit a 1 inch diameter trolling motor shaft. My trolling motor is made by Newport and the shaft is larger than 1 in. I returned them to ReelYaks and awaiting refund. I should mention that I am really enjoying my Rocket model kayak and has made my bass fishing obsession possible due to its modular two-piece design.
