This sounds corny but our homemade tempeh was so much better than commercially made. It seems more mellow in taste and more succulent. We used their heat pad. To help with de-hulling I soaked soy beans for 15 minutes then used plastic blade to wizz them for short time. Recommend +++

Tempeh starter
The starter worked very well. The tempeh making recipe is very clear and easy to follow. I just love eating my non-homogenised tempeh! So different in flavour and quality than the supermarket tempeh which is homogenised! And the delivery was prompt as well. Thanks Symbiota for supporting home food fermenting!

It didn't work
I followed the recipe but the beans started to turn black with mold and didn't produce any mycellium. Very disappointed.
