Birthday present for a teenager
It’s near impossible to find gifts for teenage girls so almost anything I buy for my 14 year old is met with an obligatory “ah thank you….”, an awkward smile and a white lie that she loves it. The moment I saw these however, I felt a new bubble of confidence in this year’s gift, so I scrambled to the checkout ready to risk it all. Sweating nervously, I handed the package over… the next 3 seconds of unwrapping felt like a decade, while I ground my teeth anxiously awaiting the verdict. Please be the year that I gain street cred from my kid. Can confirm, it was pure success. A genuine smile that rose to her eyes, followed by a dropped jaw and a rabid animal like action ripping the beautiful earnings from their box to immediately put in. “I ACTUALLY love these.
