I was very surprised that the brown paper packaging that the beanie came in had a very strong smell of fragrance. I’m not sure if it came from the mail carrier. I did have to wash the beanie, and it seemed to take away the smell of fragrance. The hat is a small/medium, but I found it a bit big for me, having a 21 inch head circumference. I do have to roll it up 3 times for it to fit nicely or at least half way. The color is not really a true cream and has more of a natural yellow tone. It is very soft and well made. I washed it in the delicate cycle and dried it in the dryer and it did not shrink, and remains very soft. I am looking forward to wearing it.
