I purchased the Stepr for its compact size and it fits perfectly in my small apartment nook, very discreet. Assembly was easy to do alone, with just a little help attaching the monitor. I was hesitant to putchase because of reviews about screen lag, and while I did notice some at first, the recent update has improved it a lot. The screen takes a little time to get familiar with. I really like the smooth transition of stair speed, and that it automatically stops when you step off, great safety feature. I think it's fairly silent which is a plus since I workout at night. Very happy with my purchase.

Concern about longevity

I was super stoked for this machine to arrive!! I chose to purchase a renewed STEPR+ for the savings. My STEPR+ arrived completely boxed, not assembled. Many of the plastic coverings were broken. Customer service was great and swift at sending the replacement plastic pieces. In all honesty, the plastic is fragile, which is why I have concern about the longevity of at least the appearance. The STEPR+'s steps are pretty shallow compared to what you would find in a commercial setting. I bought the STEPR+ with the large screen. It is very clunky...if you reboot the system, expect it to take 15+ minutes of "installing" scripts or apps...over and over. If doing over, I would likely purchase the manual console over the touch screen. It is just not worth the time or headache. Also, the system seems to lose Wi-Fi at least once per workout. It is said that Wi-Fi is not needed, but if it drops the connection, the time will freeze, so expect your workout to be interrupted. I have found that you should pause and resume your workout to ensure that it is tracking properly after loosing Wi-Fi. The machine is still a great strength and cardio piece that we’ve added to our home garage gym. I’m happy that I bought the insurance for a few years and I’m hoping this piece of equipment lasts.

I love how the Stepr fits into my space. It’s a great machine and the screen really helps to distract me from how long I’ve been on it. I highly recommended it!
