Offers some unique advantages
The transfer paper has some + and some -. Actually, the - would be as it relates to my particular project and might not be an issue for others.
The paper worked as promised: compatible with the inkjet printer, loaded fine and was printed with no issues. Application utilized a Cricut mini press set at the middle heat setting (the transfer went very quickly so maybe I should have used the lowest heat setting). The results was great. So far.
The negatives had to do with the fact that the blank spaces on the transfer paper also gets transferred onto the surface of the leather. Although it is a very slight shift in the surface, it is there. Since I was going to either paint or dye the leather, I wondered how the paint or dye would react to the different leather surfaces.
Both the transfer paper and the leather took the paint and dye but not equally. For both, the leather was considerably darker. I tried to add more to the transfer paper but the color was never a match. The other problem was that both the paint and the dye were very easy to scrape off of the transfer paper.
All in all, it isn't the solution to my particular application now. I will be trying it on other projects and will come back to update this review if things change.
I didn't try a primer for the acrylic paint application and perhaps that might help.

Works great! Takes a little practice but the end product is great! I was able to put my rifle logo on my leather stock cover! Looks great!

Very delicate and pretty see through
Nice to have an option like this but there are 2 real problems. The product is incredibly delicate and easy to scratch. Applying a coating helps but unfortunately it is too easy to scratch until applied and coated.
The second problem is there is not enough opacity. I printed out a semi-pale green plaid design and once applied the unstained leather showed through pretty significantly, which ruined the design I was going for.
