Oceaneva Mens Deep Marine Explorer II Yellow Gold Gold Damascus Steel Dial Watch Rubber

I absolutely love the design of this damascus watch! The case, dial, crown and even the strap hardware (signed pin buckle) are all damascus patterned, adding depth to this beauty. The dial is *bright* gold tone; a bit more "bling" than I expected, but I'll wear it especially when flashy is required ; ) The timegrapher results are good and well within tolerances, but not outstanding, though. When tested (in one position only), it measured +16s / 299amp / 0.1ms beat error. Arguably, I should be happy with these results, but the second watch I purchased at the same time was in WOW! territory (see my other review on the Titanium MOP model). The watch comes on a comfortable signed rubber strap, with the aforementioned pin buckle hardware; it weighs 145g on the strap. My only other reflection is that, like with the Ti MOP watch, I believe the lugs should be drilled...I'd hate to scratch this stunning damascus case to swap straps. The specifications, build quality and selection on display means that Oceaneva are DEFINITELY at the top of my list for specialist watches; in the overcrowded microbrand/independent brand market, they are definitely in another class when compared to most so-called "dive" watches...these are the real deal!

Love this piece, it is gorgeous, has a great weight and feel to it and keeps time very accurately. I actually had to get my original pre-order one replaced as the movement was gaining minutes per hour. Dave was very communicative, and worked with me to replace it quickly. The replacement is working flawlessly now. My only minor issue is the screw down crown threads don’t feel great, but I’m assuming that has to do with the depth rating. Again, very very minor issue. Everything else is great. Also, if anyone is questioning if these are real Damascus, they are. My original pre-order piece had different patterns on both the case and dial, not that one was better than the other, just slightly different patterns. Great watch!

I just love this product. First the strap, I had my doubts but figured I could change the strap if it was stiff. Wrong, one of the most comfortable straps in my collection. The watch fit and finish is comparable to the best in my collection! The face is stunning and displays its character in any lighting conditions. Time keeping is spot on.
