The Order of Confession is really meant geared for clergy and is bound in a practical manner. However, laymen can certainly benefit from reading it. It shows just how much more zealous our fathers were and what spiritually weak times we live in. It also shows the medicinal nature of confession. I would caution those new to the faith, texts on confession and canons are best left for later when one has become better established in the faith and attained some semblance of sobriety.
