Snap-on Stabilizer Kit

Wasn’t worried about tipping even a little bit

So I just had my maiden voyage on my tucktec 8’ kayak with stabilizer bars and I felt more “grounded” than any regular kayak I’ve used in the past. I am 130 lbs for reference so the stabilizer bars weren’t completely necessary but a solid feeling upgrade. I will say the caps on the ends of the bars easily fall off but that is easily remedied by some good tape and/or just taking them off entirely. It’s not enough of an issue to impact my rating- 5/5 Tucktec you’re the best!

Stabilizers

I ordered a set to replace one I had lost on a lake last year. They work well, no issues there. My only complaint is the original ones were painted black and look nice. The new ones look tacky, being gray, with the stamped writing showing looks cheap.

Snap-on Stabilizer Kit

I'm 240 lbs and the stabilizer kit helped stabilize the Kayak. It did have some additional resistance in the water, but definitely helped stabilize the kayak. Super easy to apply and stayed on in the water. I recommend for heavier riders.
