A Wild Low-Budget Cult Oddity
Ninja Zombie is exactly the kind of low-budget cult film that succeeds because of its enthusiasm rather than its resources. It fully embraces its outrageous premise, mixing martial arts, horror, and over-the-top action into a fast-paced, entertaining experience that never takes itself too seriously. The overall package is well put together for collectors. The presentation feels thoughtfully assembled, and the artwork and presentation reflect the film’s quirky, DIY charm without overselling what it is. As a release, this edition gives the movie the respect it deserves. The transfer is clean and stable, preserving the film’s original look while making it far more enjoyable to revisit than older copies. It’s the kind of boutique treatment that helps shine a light on overlooked cult cinema. Overall, this is a fun, energetic release that’s easy to recommend to fans of obscure action and horror oddities who appreciate low-budget filmmaking with plenty of personality.

Super 8 Ninja Madness
Peak Bleeding Skull energy. The title pretty much tells you what kind of ride you’re in for, but the Super 8 Chicago underground charm gives it way more personality than expected. Martial arts, cult horror, comic-book revenge and total DIY ambition all smashed together in the best possible way. It feels like something made by people who had limited resources but unlimited enthusiasm, and that’s exactly why it works. The Blu-ray presentation from the Beta-SP master keeps the scrappy texture intact while giving the movie the respect it deserves. Pure low-budget joy.
