It keeps the rain out of my big bag and away from my camera equipment

Pretty simple design, I appreciate the mesh strip at the bottom which would allow any moisture that gets into the envelope to escape. I have gone 40kms a day in the pouring rain on the west coast and the contents of my pannier remain bone dry. Seems to be a very secure fit, easy to put on and off, and its always nice to increase my visibility with a functional piece.
