Thank you for a Great Shelter!
Tonight I watched the sunset out the door of my Basecamp Solo on my last night of a three week trip up and down the east coast from Florida to Maryland and back. I am recently retired and wanted to plan my active retirement years traveling and camping throughout the U.S. This Basecamp Solo checked all of the right boxes. Everyone talks about the quick setup and packing, so I will talk about some of the other finer details. Quiet: The quilted walls of the shelter don't flap around in the wind like noisier tents. The insulation also makes the interior quieter. Insulation: I have camped in this in below freezing weather and temps above 80 degrees F. It warms up quickly with a small heater and holds the warmth making it easier to camp in the colder weather when there are fewer crowds and bugs. In hot weather, the lower and upper vents really do funnel the heat out of the tent. Stormworthy: When the winds pick up and the rain starts coming sideways, the shelter is bombproof. The shelter performed wonderfully with the full coverage rainfly during a thunderstorm in western Maryland. Then the hail started coming down. No problem. When the ground around the shelter started flooding, the bathtub floor kept the interior completely dry. Blackout Interior: I have the Green Shelter with the black interior. With an LED string light along the ceiling, the interior lights up well at night, but when it is time for lights out, it gets dark for a night of restful sleep. And in the morning, if you are looking for an easy day, you can sleep in well past sunrise if you would like. My friends call the Basecamp Solo, my "Apartment in a Bag". When outfitted with my cot, a table and stool, my cooler and a set of hanging shelves I have a completely organized office, bedroom and kitchen. Thank you for a great product. While I will never be overlanding with this, it fits in my Prius and I am traveling the country getting 50 miles per gallon. The Prius and the Basecamp Solo make for the best recreational vehicle combination to efficiently see the country in comfort and style. I highly recommend this Shelter.

Can't wait to use this thing.
I recently received my new Basecamp Solo and immediately set it up to do the Nik Wax waterproofing. I was amazed with the build quality of the tent and I can't wait to get it out in the woods.

My impression
This tent is the Bentley of tents. I have used it in very heavy rain with wind gust up to 50 mph. My wife and I stayed completely dry without a single drop of water inside. On this same trip it was 30 degrees out so we used a diesel heater to stay warm. Let me tell you we had to turn it off bc we were sweating. The tent remained warm for a couple hours before we turned it back on. If your thinking about buying it just do it. You wont regret it.
