UV protection kit is great! I don’t know if you expected us to use it only on the outside of the wood, but I used it all over because its oil base is good for protecting from moisture as well as UV. Unfortunately, that means that the smaller can you sent didn’t go very far, and the bad news is that no one in town sells the Osmo brand. The GOOD news is that Amazon sells it and I got a gallon of the stain and gallon of the clear satin finish from them and have completed staining and coating 2 of the 48” planters using that. The color is great, and would probably look even more fabulous on the “select” cedar. We chose the regular because these will be outdoor bed and don’t care about knots and such. Very nice finish!

The oil really brought out the beautiful color of the wood! So... my husband decided to do the inside AND the outside! Wish the oil can came in a bigger size! Marisa

It's assembled and on the patio. I did have to drill out some of the bolt holes that didn't line up. We haven't planted anything yet as we in Western Nebraska are still having some nights below freezing.
