So comfortable, not quite perfect

I love these pants! The fabric is so cozy and comfortable but not necessarily too warm for summer. The two things that bother me: They are crop pants but they are nearly full length on me (I am 5'2"). I could hem them, but I really love the slit in each ankle, and I don't want to lose too much of that. Second thing: the waistband could be a lot better. There's a piece of elastic (I think) inside the waistband that keeps folding over, so I keep having to straighten it out. I think an ideal waistband here would be something like the wider ones that the leggings have. That would be dreamy!

Nearly Perfect

I was unsure about these when they first arrived, largely because the waistband felt quite stiff at first. But when I tried them on a second time it loosened, and now I really love them! They are relaxed and flowy, and the fabric is lighter and softer than the Ponte fabric of my culottes. To me, the Aspen crop is much more versatile; I think I’ll wear it year round. The teal color is also a bit more muted than I expected, which I really like. They would be absolutely perfect in my book if they were shorter—I love them as pictured, but I am about 5’ 5” and they fall to my ankles. Still, a great find!
