The Black Lip Balm

Its okay…I really wanted to love this and had high hopes, but it just fell a bit short. The color is really nice. I have fair cool toned skin and the color was great. It is buildable, glides on nice, but I felt like it dried my lips out more than if I had nothing on. Which I just didn’t understand because it’s supposed to be moiturizing. Anyway, I do like it, probably won’t repurchase because it’s expensive for not actually hydrating your lips. The scent was nice, not overpowering. Just wished it didn’t dry out my lips.

The Black Lip Balm - mixed berries

I really like the formulation of the product and the idea behind it. My only regret was that the unscented version was not an option at the time of my purchase and I thought maybe the mixed berry scent would be tolerable but it ended up being a bit too strong for me and it kind of deters me from using it. It doesn’t smell bad, just too potent for my liking. It also is a very cool toned color, as advertised, so be aware of that. I don’t find it to be very flattering on me if I build it up too much but that’s not really the products fault. Overall, great product! Just wish I had been able to buy the unscented one.
