Synik 26 - Quality, creativity, uniqueness and spirit!
Always find myself going back to TB for the quality, creativity, uniqueness, and spirit! The Synik 26 is unmatched- great for edc and a short weekend trip with exceptional thoughtfulness in pockets and organization. The Bordeaux color is exactly that- deep rich reds. Extremely happy with my purchase. Maybe a 28L?

Very well designed backpack
I am a committed carry on only traveler. I have tried multiple backpacks to use in concert with a small rolling bag, but in my heart I always wanted a Tom Bihn bag. When the Synik came out in Agave ballistic, I finally bit as the color is perfect. I just completed my first short trip with the Synik 26. The bag is extremely comfortable to carry as a backpack, but also has the best luggage pass thru of any bag I have ever used. I did not find the bag heavier that others of similar size. the zippers are stiff, but the included zipper pulls were helpful. The main pack opens as a clamshell which makes packing easy. Laptop compartment was easy to access, though on this trip I used it only for my tablet. I really debated about the 26 vs the 30L, and in retrospect I think I would have rather bought the 30 L for a longer trip. Since I have used the bag i can't exchange it (should have read the retunr information first!) but I am happy enpought that I have given away my Patagonia and my Thule backpacks!

Periwinkle
I got the X material periwinkle, which gives the bag a bit of texture. The synik 26 has a nice nostalgic look to it, but the size of the pockets and the clamshell main compartment make it much more usable than the bags it reminds me of. I think the 26 is the perfect size for a lot of purposes but I could see myself getting the 22 as a day bag.
