Couldn’t be happier
I love the quality of the bag and the organizational opportunities it provides. I started using it as a daily carry and soon took it on a weeklong trip to break it in. It works perfectly u set the airplane seat while leaving me space for my large feet. Once at my destination, it transitioned into a suitable day bag. I love the flexibility. The price was difficult to swallow but my hope is that this is a buy it for life kind of situation.

The Ultimate Travel Companions for Family Trips
Tom Bihn bags have been essential for our family travels since my son was born. Traveling as a couple was manageable, but traveling with a child is chaotic. While there are many stylish bags on the market, the fear of forgetting or losing items is amplified when you are parenting on the move. That is why Tom Bihn's O-Ring system is a lifesaver—it allows me to clip everything securely inside the bag. Every year in early summer, we return to Japan for a two-week visit. Ahead of this year's trip, we added the Synik 26 and the Big Bantam to our collection. I briefly considered the Synik 30, but at 158 cm tall, I knew that size would unfortunately be too large for my frame. I needed something larger than a standard daypack that could still fit comfortably under an airplane seat. (Though with Japanese airlines expected to tighten their carry-on size restrictions from this autumn into next year, I am now wondering if the Synik 22 might have been a better choice to pair with a suitcase.) We brought large checked suitcases, but we sent them straight to the airport or left them at my parents' house to keep our hands free. For traveling within Japan, our trusty Aeronaut 45, which we have used since my son was an infant, was invaluable. Space for large luggage is limited on the Shinkansen (bullet trains), and navigating older subway stations in Japanese cities without elevators or escalators is incredibly difficult with heavy suitcases. Having agile bags that minimize the worry of losing items makes all the difference when traveling.

Synik 26 To United Kingdom
I purchased this backpack for our upcoming trip to London with the hope that it would work as my personal item (under seat) on the flights and then use it to carry my essentials while we were traveling throughout the United Kingdom. I added several more Tom Bihn accessories. I didn't use all of the accessories all the time, but they worked perfectly. Well worth the money.
