SMARTY 2.0 (Unfilled)

This took me about 3 hours to fill. Do super easy to fill, but its do-able. 1. Definately watch the ‘filling instruction video on their website, and 2. Definately buy the pool noodles and old ripped cloths from amazon for filling.. now its filled, its pretty awesome! Ive had cheaper dummys before, but this is definately superior! Im look forward to get started drilling my bjj moves from class!

a real game changer for drilling at home

It has been a real game changer for drilling at home. The realistic grappling feel makes solo practice much more enjoyable and effective, and the fact that SMARTY can hold a “guard” position is incredibly useful for drilling techniques from there. I bought mine in May and have been using it several times a week ever since. I’ve already done around a thousand submission repetitions with it, and it has held up extremely well to all the stress and repeated movements. It feels very robust and durable. Filling it does take some time and effort, but honestly, it is well worth it. Once it’s ready, you have an incredibly useful training partner available whenever you want. SMARTY has also been particularly valuable during my recovery from an injury, when I couldn’t train normally at the dojo. It allowed me to keep drilling techniques consistently, repeat movements over and over, and stay connected to grappling while I was away from regular training. If you want to improve your grappling through solo drilling, I highly recommend the SMARTY 2.0. For me, it has become an essential part of my training!

Perfect for training

Filling the Smarty was a nice project that took me about 5 hours, but I actually enjoyed it and I’m very happy with the result, thanks to the detailed instructions video :) If you enjoy a good DIY project I can absolutely recommend doing the filling yourself.
