Misleading Ring Sizes

Recently bought two rings to go on my index (9.5) and ring (8.5) fingers. I've bought those exact sizes previously for my right hand and they fit nicely. The 9.5 I bought was perfect and a similar fit to my other 9.5 ring. The new 8.5 had a bulkier design, and hollow interior, causing it to actually be much larger in ring size, so now it barely fits on my middle finger, much less my ring finger.
