Unparalleled. The sagacity of Sven Kirsten is on full display in this masterful and humanistic exploration of the West’s fetishized adoration of escapist tropical island culture. And good gosh! It’s a darn beautiful book to boot.

I was so excited to see this book as a lover of tiki culture and Polynesian culture from which it came. I love that so many titles come in French and English, my two languages.
