Merino wool is an underrated material. These socks look like they would be too hot and potentially itchy. However, this couldn't be further from the truth. They work well on more intense higher hikes but have also doubled up effectively in my ski boots.
Good length to the sock without being overly constrictive on the calfs make these a five star product.
