Meh. While they seem like they may be constructed better than my cheaper Everlast 'starter' gloves, they don't seem to offer much more protection. I feel the 'gel' was overhyped. Wasn't happy that hours after they shipped mine, they started offering free shipping but wouldn't credit me because it was a 'previous purchase'. Also, note that they took 5 days to ship from the time I placed the order. I expected more from a supposed leader in the industry. Not impressed.
