Voice commands issue

I don't know if it is normal but my device won't respond to voice commands. Specifically, when I receive a message and want to respond to that, it don't pick no message, it just keeps asking what the message is. Also, YouTube doesn't work. I don't really know if am doing something or several things the wrong way. All help would be appreciated
