Reducing Floorboard Noise in your House

I suffered from excessive screw/nail squeeks and noises in all my upstairs rooms to the point of distraction. It meant getting up at night a trial while family or visitors were there. I have lifted all my floorboards in my upstairs bedrooms and put sound insulation and sound isolation strips on all joist before relaying new floorboards with out screws and nails. The result is excellent and very quiet. Cannot recommend it enough!!
