Beautiful shoe - runs large

My usual size is 9.5 M. According to the size chart, this is the right size for me. I ordered the gold mesh shoe in 9.5. They were an inch too long. Exchanged for size 9, which is still slipping off the heel. I'm debating returning the 9's. May try heel pads. Beautifully crafted shoe. Well padded sole. The gold is a nice mat finish with a glow rather than very shiny. Versatile with jeans, a dress, or cropped pants.
