There is no comparison between what came with my boat versus the bass mooch ignition lanyard I recently purchased for my pontoon. I am very pleased with my purchase.

The no coil kill switch is amazing. I can now move a little and not trip the engine.

Kill Switch Lanyard

Just purchased the 30” lanyard because I wanted a shorter lanyard to kill the motor in case of a boating accident. I didn’t choose the 60” because I figured I could be thrown too much could happen before the lanyard would reach its length to kill the engine. I would have rather had a 48” lanyard which would allow me some movement behind the wheel yet still activate the kill switch quicker than the 60” lanyard. I will say the lanyards are made extremely well. There is no curling or springing action, just a thicker cord that’s still somewhat flexible.
