Perfect 26cm Skillet for Two — Use It Every Day

I purchased the Vermicular Oven-Safe Skillet (26cm) and it has been a perfect size for our two-person household. I’m truly very satisfied with it and use it literally every day. Even simple dishes turn out delicious—just sautéing vegetables brings out great flavor and makes meals feel special. I also love how convenient it is that it’s safe for both the oven and the dishwasher. One small downside is that if food burns and sticks, it can be a bit tough to clean. What helped me is preheating the pan well before cooking—once I started doing that, it became much easier to prevent sticking and burning. Because I liked it so much, I ended up buying a second one as well. Sometimes when making pasta, the 26cm feels a little small, so I’m considering getting the deeper 26cm version. I’d also like a smaller pan for quick meals, and the Egg & Toast pan is on my wishlist too. Overall, this skillet has become one of my most-used kitchen tools, and I highly recommend it—especially for everyday cooking.

The first thing that struck me about vermicular was its exquisite design. The shapes are crafted with attention to detail. They innovate both in shape, such as the cast-iron handles, and in materials such as their glass lids with cast-iron handles. They bring innovations such as lighter thinner pan that evaporates quickly and a great choices of handles like wood and oven safe metal. I own many enameled LeCreuset, OurPlace, carbon steel DeBuyer, stainless steel and cast iron pans but I am always on the hunt for the perfect pan. I opted for the oven safe skillet and LOVE using it. It has quickly become my go to pan because it combines the searing quality and heat retention benefits of cast-iron while also being lightweight and esthetically pleasing. I am very happy with my purchase and would highly recommend it to people who care about esthetics, design and performance.
