I have been using this new machine to replace a problematic automatic machine. . . it is a beast but very quiet and efficient. . . We simply love it

decent dual boiler machine
Have used this for 3 weeks and no complaints. The cheapest dual boiler I could find and very happy with the purchase. Fairly quick to heat - around 10 minute wait for you expresso in the morning. The menu interface is easy to understand and use. Overall, very happy with the purchase.

Excellent for the price point - a 4. 5 star.
I purchased this machine mostly for the dual steam boiler as most beverages we make are not coffee based. I was replacing an older Unic Diva that had an enormous copper tank and this little Magistar fills the need just perfectly. I love that I can simply dial up my steam settings to accommodate for the smaller tank size. I don’t drink coffee at all, but others are happy with the shots thus far. I’m still working on finding the best grind and pack but again the coffee drinkers have left glowing reviews. I wish there was more clearance under the filter when brewing but was pre-warned enough times that’s a common wish for Italian brands. The filter baskets look more aluminum than steel and the plastic tamper that came included needs immediate replacement. My only other less than five star caveat is that it’s not as solid as my Unix was but then u remind myself that this is a $2200 machine and not a $5000+ machine and I’m back to being super happy. Also impressed in the counter real estate savings. I wish I could rate 4. 5 but not an option. I can say for the price point, I think most will be very happy with this model.
