Women's Helena Down Vest

Excellent

I have loved this vest. Adds a lot of versatility to my layering options. Have worn in 0 degree weather with a wool sweater out riding and have been super warm! When you get home and take it off you can feel the heat just leave your core body in a wave.

My wife absolutely loves it. Shes a true XS to XXS anc it fire perfectly. Said its extremely warm and well made. We take daily heathly walks on out land through our many trails, some of which have not been cleared for spring yet, so we’re encountering a fair amount of thorns and briar and the fabric stands up to them well and doesnt snag! I wear the mens full down jacket that is similar and its been amazing as well. Love all things Schaefer!

Retiring all my other vests.

I was so excited to see this style of nylon puffer with western yokes and real down fill for women--I was jealous of the men's down jacket last year so I bought this as soon as it came out. I absolutely love this vest. It's warm and has a great look. I've been wearing it on the cold mornings here in eastern Idaho and I know it's going to be a staple for this winter. It's also by far the most durable puffer I've ever owned. I pulled a bunch of old barbed wire off a fence in it and even when the barbs caught the fabric, it didn't snag or rip. Just looked it over and I can't even see a wisp of down poking through. I wouldn't say it runs particularly small, but if you want to wear it over a big bulky sweater, you might consider sizing up. I'm between a small and a medium and am glad I got the medium.
