Very satisfied with my purchase I've actually purchased 6 total..... including myself 3 of my Kidz have locs and we all self retie.

The hook isnt deep enough to catch and pull the loc through. It’s more cumbersome than helpful with the half moon shaped indention. It need at a minimun a U shaped indentiin to work on self retightens.
