I recently purchased the Lincoln Power MIG 215 from Cyberweld, attracted by their competitive pricing. While the overall experience had its highs and lows, the customer service from Lincoln ultimately saved the day. Upon unboxing, I encountered immediate issues with the welder. Running a test bead with .024 wire with C25 gas on a 16-gauge material, the machine acted as though there was a bad ground, causing it to restart unexpectedly. Upon restarting, the machine blew my 50-amp 220 breaker with a loud boom, akin to a shotgun blast, accompanied by white smoke pouring out of the 215. Needless to say, my initial impression was far from positive. However, Lincoln's customer service played a crucial role in salvaging the situation. Despite the disappointing start, they promptly arranged for the unit to be inspected and repaired at a local service center. The repair process was surprisingly quick, with the unit fixed within just two days. This level of responsiveness and efficiency in addressing the problem earns Lincoln a solid 5 stars. While my initial impression was marred by the out-of-the-box issues, the swift resolution and excellent customer support mitigate some of the frustration. I'm left cautiously optimistic, hoping that the problems experienced were an isolated incident and that the Lincoln Power MIG 215 will prove reliable in the long run. For the prompt resolution and customer service, I give Lincoln a 3-star rating, acknowledging the rocky start but appreciating the effort made to make things right. Time will tell if this welding machine lives up to its potential without any further hiccups.
