I was also unsure of the weight. But I trust Lauren and the process, she would never steer us wrong. I loved incorporating the kettlebell into the routine. Something new but also shows that my body has now gotten stronger ans stronger to be able to handle that weight. I did not try any other 18 lb kettlebells for reference, but this one is very comfortable to handle for the moves in each class.
