[COSMETIC BLEM] Eighty Four Chest Rig 2.0

Sometime Impatience > Patience

After waiting a bit for these to come in, I found out that this batch had a cosmetic blemish and my options were I either take one of the recently arrived (with a gift card due to the blemish) or wait for the next batch in June '26. "It's my chest rig and I need it now", was my first thought...so I went with option #1. Big thanks to James and team for getting this out the door for me asap and providing top tier customer service! The blemish is barely noticeable in my opinion, and I'm so far very pleased with the quality of the stitching and how the pouches are arranged. I'll put some miles on it this summer/fall to ensure a proper QA is done on my end. Update to come!

What blem?

Honestly, when I got the email with the option to wait for a non-blem, the photo showing the color mismatch must have been shooped to highlight the problem. It's much subtler in person, and absolutely invisible once you've rolled in the dirt and thrown up on it. The harness is almost eerily comfortable. It almost doesn't feel right, because of the angles of the webbing and how much back is exposed. But it all sits on me securely. The pouches n whatnot work really well. Lots of space. I can get G3 mags in there, but it's a little fiddly. I should have bought a FAL. Everything else slips right in. I like it. I'm done buying chest rigs now. This is the best one.
