Control Arm Skids
If you do any rock crawling or serious off road travel in a Jeep JL and have taken the time to look under your Jeep and inspect it after, you have most likely noticed damage to the lower control arm mounting brackets. The brackets are located on the bottom of the front axle so they seem to take a beating almost every time I have been out crawling, my wife’s Jeep is the same, even If your running 37’s they just don’t have enough clearance between the ground and the bracket. We recently had the lower control arm skid brackets installed in both of our Jeeps and after just a few weeks you can already see where the skids have protected the brackets. The skids are welded directly to the axles and also have a UHMW 1/4” pad on the bottom of the bracket to help the skid to slide over rough surfaces. NO MORE BENT OR BROKEN COMPLETELY OFF THE AXLE control arm brackets. Most definitely worth it, we will be getting the rear brackets added soon along with the under belly skids. Bottom line is you have to protect your rig or you will eventually be stranded or just broken down on a trail.
All parts are manufactured right here in Grand Junction, Colorado, USA using high quality steel, aluminum and UHMW. These products are the best in the industry. Give them an opportunity and you won’t be disappointed.
