I have matured goose hunting in Illinois going from old school Martin type calls to goose flutes of A5 modification lineage to maturity of the Short reed call. I saw the glory days of Illinois goose hunting. These guts are the most consistent and most responsive I’ve ran and I’ve ran a whole gauntlet of short reeds from Grounds to Quill Creek. Yes this is just another short reed goose call. But I find the call the most responsive and realistic I’ve ran. Quill Creek is a solid brand with excellent customer service. That and the ease of running this call make it the top of the list in my book.
