Pan fish must have popper

I’ve been using this style of popper for over 30 years starting with the sneaky Pete in a size 6 for smallmouth bass in the boundary waters. Started using these micro me poppers for panfish as the are a miniature sneaky Pete. They are fairly durable but you have to be careful when removing them from a fish by not grabbing and twisting the popper body. I have replaced legs and hackle and epoxied bodies back to the hook to salvage some of my well used poppers. I like the paint jobs and mainly use the chartreuse and black bodied poppers. A number 8 popper throws well with a 9ft 6wt. 10 in bluegills and pumpkinseed in my local lake area blast and readily take these poppers when the feed is on. A bit pricey but worth it and I’ll keep a bunch on hand. I always tell my buddies that the price of flies go way up on the water when they ask me if I’ve got extra.
