Loons Blanket

I love the blankets from Pure Country Weavers so much. The fabric is soft and cozy and warm, and the designs are gorgeous. The method by which they are woven is fascinating. I've spent inordinate amounts of time just examining closely how different colors are created from the complexly interwoven combinations of threads. This one in particular is a beaut. I especially like the fact that on the back there's a negative version of the image. This one's got a really interesting reverse-loon rendition, checked white and black where the original image is checked black and white. So cool! It goes great with the Morning Procession blanket. My partner calls the back of that one "The Nega-Goose", now we've got a Nega-Loon as well. Very happy to be welcoming this gorgeous bird.
