Premium Neoprene Swim Vest - Azure Blue

Helpful, not ideal

Based on the size chart, I thought my six year old would be too large to use this vest. We ordered the large anyway just to see. It is actually a little large on him, so we will be able to use it in the future. The size chart did not help me accurately choose the correct size. It's possible I should have bought a medium--I'm not sure. I did not realize from the images on the website that the inside of the vest is not smooth--it is comprised of several tubular inserts. This is explained in the website text, but not in the pictures, so I missed accurately understanding how this was set up. While I would have preferred a smooth inside, this is actually the only company I've found that has swim vests for kids above 50 pounds, so I was grateful to find something that would work. I thought the piece attached to the under strap would be helpful, but it just slides out of the way. I've thought I might stitch to the correct spot on the strap. It's very flexible, though, so I'm not sure it will really serve a purpose. I may just cut it off.
