to whom it may concern, I now believe that I was completely wrong about this KVM. I think that previously, I had it plugged in behind too many other hubs and devices. It was too nested a fashion, I think, which made it appear not to work. I got a replacement device, and plugged things in properly, rather than _improperly_. Now it works great, and I use it all the time. To the internet or whoever else reads this, I'm sorry for pitching a fit before!
