this is now my 4th Devium jacket, but only the second one I'm reviewing. I owe a review on the Overdrive and the Continental sherpa jacket is no longer available, although I hope it gets revived someday. Anyway, the Deadeye is great. It's got the same fit and profile as the Gene corduroy jacket, but with the rain and wind resistance of waxed canvas. The lining of the Deadeye isn't warm enough to make this your everyday winter jacket in colder climates, but if you layer a sweatshirt it'll definitely be toasty. The jacket fits and looks great. If you're comparing versus the Overdrive, I'd say the deadeye is roomier, warmer and more like traditional workwear. the overdrive is a more tailored, sleeker and modern. Both are amazing. for reference, I'm 6'0, 240lbs and wear an XL in both. Oh and I like the Deadeye so much, I sold my Flint & Tinder waxed canvas jacket as a result.

The Deadeye arrived just in time for Easter Sunday! Not exactly a jacket to wear that day but I could not resist. I tried to be lowkey about it... however it was a stunner. I have since purchased an Overdrive as well. One thing I will say is that the Deadeye is larger around the belly than the Overdrive which for me is important in the 2XL size (at the moment). My shoulders will always require that size and all of my Devium purchases are "forever clothes" so I'm extremely happy with both pieces. If you look over at the Deadeye hanging on a hook or the back of a chair you can see that this piece is only going to get better looking over time. Given the quality of every aspect of the jacket...it will be an heirloom some day.

Amazing made in the USA quality. Hard to believe until you try it on. You will immediately feel the difference.
