As someone new to weight training and building a budget-friendly home gym, I spent a lot of time looking for equipment that balanced value, quality, and clean design. I appreciate simple black-and-white aesthetics, and the Bells of Steel rubber-coated plates and EZ curl bar fit that look well while being budget friendly premier equipment. The plates are a great value and arrived virtually odor-free, which is a big plus for rubber-coated weights in a home gym. I also like the slightly smaller diameter compared to some Olympic plates. It actually allows me to perform exercises like bent-over rows with the EZ curl bar without the plates hitting my forearms before full retraction. The EZ curl bar feels very well made. The rotation is smooth, the bar feels solid, and the knurling provides a secure grip without being overly aggressive. Customer service was also excellent. One plate was lost during shipping and Bells of Steel promptly sent a replacement with no hassle. Overall, this was a perfect start to my home gym—great value, solid quality, and backed by responsive customer support.
