Back lawn set up
I have only set up the tent for a couple of days on the back lawn for a couple of days and lit the wood stove inside it one night to burn off the paint smell. Everything worked great and I look forward to setting it up at one of the local lakes. This will be the perfect 2 person size, once we add the stove, 2 cots, a dog bed and a table with 2 chairs. It seems funny to down size from an rv to a cozy tent, but I prefer it and can’t wait for the adventures to begin, thank you.

I love the tent and was able to set it up by myself did not need two people. I recommend doing what I did and went slow and did a practice set up and take down. Packing the tent bag took me awhile but should get easier.

Excellent product
I went with Kodiak because of an incredible customer service experience. I borrowed one from a friend and my dog got his chain caught up in it when I was out hunting. Put several large rips in the floor and wall. I explained what happened, sent some pictures, and Kodiak Canvas shipped a brand new one with zero fees. I was blown away. I used my new tent and stove this past week on a 4 day turkey hunting trip in the Utah mountains. Just under 9,000’ of elevation in April brought high winds, temps in the low 30s and several inches of snow. The tent and stove performed exceptionally well. My only issue was some melting of the seal where the stove pipe goes through the tent and several small burn holes in the tent roof from embers. You have to be super careful not to allow the fire to burn too hot. Do not leave the stove door open allowing for too much draft. This will overheat the stove pipe and allow burning embers to exit. I read all the safety instructions beforehand, and was being very cautious, but this still happened.
