Why didn't I think of that?

I got the Mitten Clamps as a gift and promptly bought two more. Admittedly, I am a gadget nut ( incurable) but these things are the real deal. Not just for fly fishing, they work equally as well for all types of fishing , even clipped to your belt loop on a bass boat. I clip the terminal end of braid to the clamp (while still on my belt loop) and tie up an FG knot just about as easy as it gets. And , the clamp is strong enough to wrestle a 3/0 worm hook out of a bass mouth. Who ever thought to combine a carabiner with a cutting ( yes it will cut braid) and clamping forceps is a hero!

These work great! The ckamos are super strong and the cutters are sharp. I also have the quick draw forceps and personally like the feel of them better in my hand but they just feel better in my hand. Everyone’s hands are different.
