I was not as comfortable with Square strings. While they provide increased spin, it did not fit my style of play. The string felt a bit heavy even at 18 gauge. I felt my pace drop and had to swing a bit harder, which could affect the feel in my arm. I much prefer the Hexagon X and will continue playing with those at 45 lb.

Finally got my racquets back from my stringer and played yesterday. These square strings have such sharp corners! They really grab the ball. If you use spin, you want these strings.

Love these strings
Quadro and the Square sets are, at least for me, the best combination of feel and spin. As a dude who played in the late 70s and early 80's, I tend to hit the ball flat and very hard. I have been working on gaining more net clearance and this combination has been the best combo. I have tried over 20+ other combinations over the past three months and I'm really happy now.
