Beautiful colouring and soft

I've been wanting to try this yarn for a while, its colours are beautiful and the feel is soft. However, the fabric that knits up was not expected. The yarn felt very light and drapey for a merino. I made a hat and feel like it would maybe not be excellent for cold cold or windy days, doesn't give that snug fitting warmth feel, although beautiful.
